Whether you’re updating a single room or reworking your whole home, we take the time to get it right, with strong planning, clear pricing, and quality that lasts.
Your house renovation is led by a licensed builder, not handed off to a project manager. Jake Kyriazis from JBK Homes remains directly involved on site, working alongside a small, consistent team to ensure quality and attention to detail throughout the build.
We specialise in detailed, well-managed home renovations. From full internal updates to structural work and quality finishes.
We’re based in based in the Yarra Valley and working across metro Melbourne. If the job’s the right fit, we’ll travel.
JBK Homes was founded by Jake Kyriazis, a registered builder and experienced carpenter with a passion for quality residential renovations. After 15 years on the tools across new builds, extensions, and detailed home renovations in Melbourne, Jake now leads a small, multi-skilled team focused on delivering well-managed renovation projects.
We don’t outsource the entire build – we’re there, building it ourselves. With most of the work carried out in-house, we maintain quality, reduce delays, and keep things tidy throughout the job. You’ll get to know us, and we’ll treat your home with respect.
We love working on older homes, especially period and character houses – but we take just as much pride in updating a 70s brick veneer or helping bring a modern design to life. If the goal is thoughtful, practical, well-built spaces, that’s where we do our best work.

Projects Completed
Not just a new look, a better way to live at home.
We specialise in internal renovations, including bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, and full home reconfigurations, as well as select extension projects where the fit is right.
Our focus is on delivering complete renovation outcomes, from early structural work through to final finishes, with a consistent team managing the project from start to completion.
We’ve built a process that gives you clarity from the start and confidence as the job progresses. Whether you have plans ready or need design input, we’ll guide you through the steps to get your renovation moving.
01.
We’ll chat about what you’re planning, what matters most to you, and whether we’re a good fit for the job.
02.
We’ll come to site to walk through your ideas, take measurements, and provide a rough cost range.
03.
If you don’t have plans yet, we can connect you with an interior designer who suits your style and budget. Once designs are done, we’ll provide a fixed cost proposal with a full scope of work.
04.
Once everything’s signed off, we lock in dates and get to work. Our team takes pride in clear communication, tidy worksites, and building to a high standard.
We know most Melbourne house renovation concerns boil down to three things – budget, timeline, and quality. Here’s how we address them:
We listen carefully to your needs, then provide a detailed fixed-price proposal so you can move ahead with confidence.
Our small team means less back-and-forth and more time on the tools. We schedule works carefully and keep things moving.
With most trades done in-house, quality stays high from start to finish. Our team respects your home and leaves it clean and tidy at the end of each day.
Blending Character With Function
This Hughesdale renovation involved reworking the back of a California Bungalow to create a more functional layout for a growing family, without losing the charm of the existing home.
We added a new ensuite and walk in robe, updated the bathroom, and built a full width deck to make the most of the backyard. Inside, we restored heritage trims and matched cornices while upgrading finishes to suit modern family life.
It’s a good example of how JBK balances respect for the old with precision in the new, helping families thrive in homes that feel just right.

Total Projects
Real homes, built properly, with results that hold up over time.
We take on a selected number of home renovations each year in Melbourne. Enough to keep things moving, but not so many that quality slips.
You’ll be working with a small, skilled team that does most of the work ourselves. That means better communication, consistent quality, and familiar faces on site.
We often work closely with clients and their designers early in the planning stage, offering buildability advice, staged budgeting, and real world cost guidance. For larger renovations, we offer this as a paid consultation service to ensure clarity and direction before the build begins.
From first meeting to final clean, we stay focused on what matters most: building practical, well finished homes where people can thrive.
We’re based in the Yarra Valley and work across metro Melbourne on renovations where quality matters. Whether it’s a full home renovation in Camberwell, a bathroom in Glen Iris & Surrey Hills, or a family extension in Wonga Park, we’re ready to help.
We deliver to:
📍Inner North: Fitzroy, Northcote, Clifton Hill
📍Bayside: Middle Park, Brighton
📍East & Outer East: Box Hill, Ringwood, Eltham
📍Yarra Valley Region: Lilydale, Yarra Glen & surrounds
Outside of Melbourne? Reach out anyway, if it’s the right fit, we’re happy to travel.
